Wow, thanks for your help, sorry i posted a second thread because i am willing to pay someone.. but you have been very kind, thanks.

    Just a few quick questions:

    1. What is the difference in the two sets of drivers (with or without disc)
    2. I am missing two drivers fingerprint driver and PCI Device... Do you know if it is possible to get these or is it even possible to get the fingerprint sensor to work on XP

    1. with disc = WXP installation from VAIO Downgrade Disc, without = WXP installation from any MS WXP disc.

    2. Fingerprint Driver. What PCI device do you mean exactly?
It is possible to use FP on XP: you need FP driver and the UPEK's FP software

Thanks a million... you wouldn't believe how happy i am. The PCI Device was actually the modem. When i downloaded the files via your link, i noticed that there was an extra folder in the audio driver called 1 which seemed to be some sort of windows update. I installed it and then that allowed me to install the any missing drivers.

Thanks so much for all of your help, thanks again...
