    Can anyone that has the Sony Vaio Z Series Laptop tell me if the HDMI output on the Z Series outputs 5.1 Dolby Digital surround Sound?

    Hi....

    Yes it does.....with Power DVD 8 Ultra !!!
    Software can make HDMI Out....then you have 5.1 or 7.1
