I was talking to someone at compUSA, and they seemed to think that the 7400 took all of its memory from the system ram. This seems reasonable... considering ati integrated cards have a comparable vista performance score.

    1) Vista performance score is crap benchmark and should never be taken at face value.
    2) VPS is highly driver dependent, so it does not take much to screw up a rating.
    3) Don't trust a sales guy :p

Anyway, the Sony 7400 has 64MB of dedicated memory, and the rest is shared. You can't call it a dedicated card if it doesn't have dedicated memory.

What would you say your average framerate is? Also, does it get toasty?

Also... I am looking at the 1.66Ghz version.

They sell in 1.6? I thought 1.8 was the lowest.

I ran a 2.33ghz, 2gb of RAM xps m1210 (same gpu) and at 1280 x 800 it was giving 66fps on the stress test with full graphics except the anti aliasing being back off a little.

The 440 is 1.66. I am thinking of ordering this today... any other opinions?
