I have a TZ150N/B. Is it true that the XP downgrade disks through sony and qdirect delete the recovery partition?

And if it does delete the recovery partition, assuming I have first created recovery CDs, downgraded successfully to XP, and now want to recover my system to original state.. will the recovery partition and c drive be returned to original states with vista after restoring from my recovery CDs?
