Just got a NS-150 and want to downgrade to XP. I used gparted to split the vista partition into two and then booted up off my xp pro sp3 cd. It starts loading the drivers but blue screens me every time. Any suggestions?

More than likely you have ACPI is turned on in the BIOS. Before installing Windows XP, make sure that you have this option disabled in the BIOS as well as have the network driver downloaded and saved on a flash stick so that your windows XP doesn't get stuck without internet support to find the other drivers.

The other alternative is to slipstream the drivers into a new Windows XP CD, but that involves a lot more work. You will take a small performance hit for not running ACPI, but if XP is what you want to run, then that is what needs to be done.

You can read more about ACPI here.

There is no option about ACPI in the BIOS, the only things you can change are date/time, passwords, and boot information, extremely limited BIOS if you ask me.

I'm working on slipstreaming right now but I don't see any XP drivers on Sony's site, guess I'll have to do some digging, anyone already found them, at least the hd one so I can actually install XP?

The driver I used in nlite was the vista driver from sonys site, both times when install was starting it said that the drivers for the hd were corrupt, I obv used the wrong ones.

Idk where to find XP versions of the driver, I called support and they said this machine is not currently able to run XP and told me that they dont have the information about which drive I have so I can get a driver from manufacturer.

They told me to call in tomorrow and talk to a level 2 engineer, we will see how that goes tomorrow.
