I "semi-clean"-installed my SZ1XP yesterday (reinstalled it using only the first reinstallation DVD, the "system" one).

Amongst the useless stuff which is not any more installed, there are some programs I still would like to install:
    • Roxio DigitalMedia SE
    • Sonic Stage Mastering Studio

The "european" applications reinstallation DVDs that my SZ1XP produces does not allow a selective installatation - either all the scrap or nothing.

Does anybody know if/where I can download these programs?

I have an Australian model SZ but mabye this will work for you.

Sonys menu system is crap. If you just open the disc in my computer and browse the directorys you should find a list of software installation packages. Just install what you need.

Unfortunately, the european's SZs reinstallation DVD does only contain a lot of "xxx.pac" files.

But these can be decoded with an utility called kcap.exe as described on http://www.myplc.com/sony/sony_apps.htm.

Not user friendly, but it works.
