    Hi, all

I just noticed there're more than 10 white pixels and 2 black pixels on my 2 month old AR (They are discrete distribution on the screen but mainly at the central)

I know this WUXGA screen has 1920*1200=2.3 million pixels, a dozen bad pixels are not much

But mine are at the central of the screen. They are apparent when seeing movies.

What am I supposed to do? Thanks

    Hello,

well therer is a certain amount of error that companies are allowed on these screens, this will vary from where these "bad pixels" are, less in the centre and more in outer region.

    I think it was around 3 or 4 for a 1024 * 768 screen, but I could be wrong.

First have a look in you manual, it should tell you in there, einther a hard copy or on you laptop (pdf).

But with 12 "bad pixels" I think it might be best if you return the computer for repairs, either via customer service or via the shop you bought it at.

    All the Best

I finally decided to call sony for repairing the LCD. Three days later a technican came to my house with a replacement LCD. This is a large Sharp branded panel, listed $930 on the new part sheet. The new screen is perfect (compare to more than 30 stuck pixels now on the old one).
All it takes is a phone call to Sony CS. And fortunately I called within the warranty period.
A good experience with Sony this time :)
