I brought a new E series laptop, model is vpceb16fg.

I noticed that it also have an esata/usb port, but mine one doesnt charge devices after turning off the laptop.. but i have sxps dell laptop also and that one can charge devices even when laptop is off... anyone can tell me if there vaio e series can charge or not?

also, i have been using it for a month now and touchpad finishing/texture have become flat at the area where i touch my finger.. i called sony for this and they told me that they cant replace it.. though it is still under warranty ..

lastly, i noticed that webcam is total crap..
my dell laptop takes similar photos when it is on battery use..
but in this vaio, even i connect power adapter and set to high performance in power options, still quality is same (crap)..
anyone can tell me how theirs webcam is working? is ur webcam taking good photos?

    thanks

That is a feature implemented in Dell's BIOS, and is currently not available in Sony Vaios.

This will happen on ANY notebook with heavy use, except the Apple uMBP's because they feature glass trackpad surfaces.

The webcams on most notebooks aren't exactly known for their photo-taking abilities, being as they are usually 1.3MP. Again, Apple uses theirs for a marketed app "PhotoBooth" which comes with the computer. Also the MacBooks have a 2MP webcam. Dell's usually feature 1.3MP, but quality will vary between camera module manufacturer. My MotionEye works quite well, especially in "Low-Light" conditions.
