    Hi!

I got an old gen VAIO Z. VGN-Z750DB. So it has a WWAN modem inside and seems to be locked to Sprint or Verizon. But AFAIK it uses EVDO rev. A.
We got an EVDO coverage in our city for a couple months, but it's not Sprint or Verizon. I live in Kazachstan.

So the question is simple: What i got to do to make my Z work with local EVDO provider?

Should i soldier SIM(RUIM) card slot to the board or not? How to unlock a modem.
    All ideas are welcome

    Thanks in advance.
    Victor.

well the full name of a tech is CDMA EV-DO Revision A. There's hole for a sim card, but it's locked from inside. it's not so hard to take the lock off. Possibly i need to soilder card slot, if not sim card slot to hold sim inside.

Anyway i'd check all the thread now. Thanks for the link.

    The modem i have Qualcomm HS-USB 9222
