Sony purposely locks off VT in all of their Vaios except for the business BZ series.

People in this forum have hacked previous Vaio models to reenable VT so maybe they can help you with the FW series as well. :)

What makes it even more frustrating is that Sony have crippled VT in the Z series, which is apparently aimed at business... no idea what their rationale is for doing this but it's annoying.
Also, the EFI style BIOS in the Z makes hacking it to turn on VT tricky, apparently. :(

I am also very desperate to unlock VT on my VGN-SR13GN.
Weird Sony, I dun understand what do they think they are doing.

I headed for this stylish-yet-cannot-do-all-what-you-want laptop without knowing this issue, otherwise, mine would be Fujitsu or Toshiba. :(

Sony people, come on, wake up. Cut the crap. What the point of behind this lock?

For those geeks trying to hack/patch/crack(whatever), please post the way to unlock VT on my SR-VGN13GN box with Aptio AMI Bios, once you guys find it.

    Thanks you all very much!
