Can anyone tell me how to install an ethernet controller for the VGN-Z750D? I have downloaded and installed this driver from the Sony Website but it does not seem to be working after a couple of reboots?

Of course it won't work. The Z comes with Intel Ethernet controller, not Marvell.

I posted the wrong link, however both do show when searching support. The Intel one is not working either. Any suggestions.. once again this is Windows Server 2008 NOT Vista as the Sony site shows "Microsoft® Windows Vista® Business 64-bit"

I've read posts for persons using WS 2008. What driver?

you'll have to select Intel(R) 82567LM-4 Gigabit Network Connection manually from device manager for it, after running the driver installation.

Ok, I can see it in the device manager but its got the yellow icon, a "double click shows it cannot load the required driver".

Something else I need to do?

What makes this a "business laptop?" because it comes with Vista Business but no VM?

i mean to install the drivers manually: right-click on the yellow icon, update driver, browse my computer for driver software, let me pick from a list..., Network adapters, Manufacturer->Intel, Intel(R) 82567LM-4 Gigabit Network Connection

    that's it.

Thank you all, I got it working. Now I hope windows update take care of the other items. I think th3e 16.9 is a bit off, it all seems stretched left to right.
