I installed two 120GB Seagate Momentus 7200rpm drives in my AR270. I went into the BIOS and configured them as RAID 0. I then installed Vista Ultimate without any issues. I then selectively installed some of the Sony Vista installs from the Vista Migration page. I installed all of the system installs, but I only installed the WinDVD BD application. I do not use any of the other applications. Everything went pretty smoothly but I have two unresolved issues. The first issue is the SD memory reader in the front of the machine, the driver for this is still missing. It is not a big deal, I have a USB/SD reader that I am using for a work around. But if anyone knows where to find the driver for this device let me know. The second is playing Blu-Ray DVDs with WinDVD BD. If I put a Blu-Ray disk in the drive the WinDVD BD runs and plays the disk. You better not move the window around too much or spend a lot of time running through the menus or it will crash or hang WinDVD. But it will play the disk. If you maximize the window the video will only play in the upper left hand corner of the screen, about 1/3 the size of the screen. This is the biggest problem that I am having and it makes watching Blu-Ray movies on this machine rather worthless. Another problem is I do not get any audio out of the HDMI while watching a Blu-Ray disk, in fact I am not sure I am getting any sound out of the HDMI at all. If anyone has a fix for this I would appreciate your help.
