I'm sending in my FW for the second time to have the DC port soldered on correctly, the thing has play in it once more and I've requested Sony take it away and solder it on properly, I'm also going to request if they could take a look at the graphics card since that has been playing me up lately.

Do you think they will treat me OK? last time they took my laptop away and obviously tried their best to make an impression, they cleaned it all up and arranged a little cloth in it and all that good stuff, some stereotypical Japanese honour stuff (assuming Sony is a Japanese company by origin)

Do you think they will fix it this time and for free?

I do have a little bit of warranty left, two months I believe.

I just got a call from Sony, they claim the DC port isn't covered by warranty and it would cost at least £270 for them to replace it, its still under warranty though? and they fixed it once before? I said no thanks and I'll just leave it but man, they're charging for repairs while you're under warranty, that's ridiculous.
