    Hi guys i want to hear your expierences with vaio link when getting a repair done as im having problems with them, i sent in my FW 3 weeks ago and they said they recieved it but no updates for 2 weeks and there being useless on chasing it up on the phone, so please share yours to give me some insight?, thanks

    I dropped off my FW for a screen change at E Link (in Canada). The lady inspecting it there managed to hit one of the corners of the laptop on the side of her desk in front of me.

    Other than that, it took about 2 weeks for them to change it. Actually, they had it ready a few days earlier but they never called. Good thing I called them.

    Interesting note, even though it's under warranty, the cost of this was reported on my receipt (I assume that's what they will charge Sony) and the total amount came to about $460, almost half the value of the laptop itself!

    Here in the states they send you a fedex overnight box, which allows you to track it via fedex if not via sony. If sony isn't being helpful try to find info via the company transporting the package.

    No problem getting a new battery when mine failed after 2 weeks - bad luck on my part.

    That was in Germany.
