    Hi
I received the 3 month free WLAN trial when I bought the Z but it doesn't specify the expiration date.
I have no use for it at this time and I'd like to save it for later if it's possible.

Is there an expiration date for it or can I use it anytime?

i'd say the service will cease to function around 3 months after the software was installed on the notebook (about a week before you got it, depending on shipping time), regardless of if you used it or not.

Let me correct my original statement. It's 1 month trial, not 3 months. Also, after 4 months of having Z, I can still use the promotion.

But the problem is "Is it too much of a hassle to signup and cancel within a month while carrying the risk of Sprint charging me even after the cancellation?"

    One horror story I found : http://browse.complaints.com/redirect.php?entry_id=155634

    Has anyone tried this before?

Actually it isn't a 1 month trial; my Z said it was 1 month FREE when i sign up for a 2 year contract. Make sure to read the fine print.

However, you can call up sprint and convince them to give you 1 month of free trial.

You have 1 month trial when ever you start activate your card. You have to call sprint service to cancel with in 30 days to end your 1 st month trial. If not, you have to stick with 2 years contract with Sprint.
    Hope it will help
    Goodluck

i had some problems canceling with them, even after I signed up and had a 1 yr contract with them. they tried to extend me to a 2 yr plan, w/o me ever signing off on it. luckily I had my documentation from a year earlier saying it was only a 1 yr plan. I would warn you to do the same to protect yourself. the wwan service was fine, but I had very negative experiences with their account service reps.
