Hello, thanks to people on this board now I own a SZ.
I have a problem with the memory card reader with my SanDisk Ultra II 1GB SD card. When I put SD card in, and click on it, it freezes. Here's another thread on this issue.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=91152

Did anyone with this problem successfuly solve it?
    Or anyone else got suggestions?
SD card reader is very important to me and if SZ did not have this express card reader, I would not have chosen SZ. Now that it's not working, it disappoints me. So hopefully someone out there has a solution.

I've tried reinstalling Texas Instrument driver from Sony site and followed through other suggestions from their troubleshooting pages, but none of them work. Thank you in advance

I've got the same card but it works in mine, however, my miniSD card and adaptor didn't work in the card reader until I physically pushed the card in and held it in (and not let it click into place)

Otherwise, it would freeze. You can try that to see if it works

I gave it a try. if I push the card all they way in, it says "please insert the card". anyhow thanks for the idea. I can't believe my one of the most important criteria on a laptop won't work. this is not good.
