I recently bought Interlink Expresscard remote only to find out that my Vaio has Expresscard 34 slot and the remote requires 54. Is there any adapter that can take in Expresscard-54 and convert it to Expresscard-34 or USB.

I'm afraid I've never seen or heard of a 54 to 34 Expresscard adaptor. It does suck that just about all Vaio notebooks have a 34 Expresscard (I think the AR is the exception?) even the 15 and 17" Macbook Pros have them!
