What kind of battery time are you getting in speed mode with the display at at leat half brightness? Also does it stick out from the back a lot or is it minimal? Thanks

The extended battery sticks out about 2 cm (less than 1 inch). I am still able to fit it in my backpack without any problems. If you purchase the docking station, it has a groove designed to fit the extended battery.

When in battery mode, I turn off the DVD, audio, network, set color to 16-bit and a brightness of 3, etc. Basically I turn off everything.

I get 7+ hours out of it that way in Speed. Stamina with the same I get more.

hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! want a laugh? I just charged my ext battery to 100% started up to stamina mode. made it to windows at 99% power. Set to ultimate mode and everything off and screen at 0 brightness after 5mins of not touching the laptop, It says I can get.... 12hours !!!!!!!! what a joke.

I changed ONLY the brightness to 5 bars. Went from 12hours to 10hrs 11mins. and if I move around the mouse and launch a few programs it drops to 4hours.

I take it with a grain of salt. at least I now have a battery that should last 3+ hours watching a dvd for trips.
