Some setting got changed somehow, and now there is a little popup that comes on every time I start win 7 64 telling me the condition of the battery - even when plugged in and fully charged. Anyone know a way to stop this?

Also similar - anyone know how to turn off the HDMI popup that shows up on startup when a monitor is plugged in to HDMI port?

    Thanks!!!!! :D

Try pressing S1, then going to Power Management > Battery.

    There's an option to:
Do not display the Battery Charging Performance Notice screen until the charging performance of the batter enters the Critical State.

Mine is unchecked, but I never receive the notice anyway. Could be cuz I've clean installed and I've chosen not to install a few Sony Utilities that may make the pop up happen.

    Regardless, the above should work.

    Good luck.

Thanks! Got it now. I thought I looked through them all, but I guess I missed that one.

Sigh... still there. I guess I will live with it until I get motivated to do a clean install.
