I only had this F1190X laptop for 3 months, and now it's making super annoying noises.
It's not the common microphone issue that can be disabled.
The noise generates around the fan area where it come and goes every few seconds. It's not constantly making the noise, but will unexpectedly start whistle and stops, start and stop and continues.
I searched online but found no answer except to clean the fan, I used air spray can and even opened it and it was not that dusty. But the high pitch noise is still there. It won't stop whistling.
Does anyone know what is the problem and how to fix it?
Thanks.

Does it sound like a squeal? like the bearings on the fan motor are dry or damaged? or does it sound like something banging around in the fan blades? or like something they are brushing against, like a wire? Is is affected by changing the angle of the laptop?
Is it generated by the fan motor at all? Like is the noise affected by the speed of the fan? Some laptops have a cpu whine, which is unrelated to the fan, but that doesn't sound like your problem. -
This http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/536793-vaio-f13-fan-beeping.html#post6928461 ? - no fix to that I guess... lame fans. In service I was told it's normal... n/c.

So how about it n123nnn, is your noise like the beeping noise in the youtube video they mention in that thread? i.e. F11 beeping noise

I have the exact same model as mentioned in the youtube video. I also am having this screeching sound problem

The noise gets louder when the fan is running faster. The screeching noise sounds very sharp, like blades. Is this fixable?
I think it's not beeping noise, but screeching noise.
Thanks for replying! -
The noise sounds really like the 1 on Youtube, but the laptop didn't have this issue when it was new..
