    Is there anyway to have the fan shut off during dvd's?

    the fan that cools the laptop? Are you crazy? What would the point be? To burn your laptop?

    Edit: what laptop do you have, there might be a way of slowing it down

    i think what you're referring to is the spinning of the dvd rom, or the motor that makes it spin , its not the actual fan that u hear.
