so i have a fe550g vaio laptop and i just did a full system format.

i made recovery dvds from the partition drive but during the installation, dvd 2 would not properly spin.

so i installed xp home instead of the media edition that came with my system.

i downloaded all the drivers from esupport.sony.com but still my functionalities like Fn brightness/LCD/volume buttons do not work.

i ordered the recover disks for $26 shipped cause i felt so helpless.

    please help me!

also, in the device manager, i have a yellow question mark for pci device and my sound still doesnt work

    :)

Glad it worked out for you; not being able to use function keys is obnoxious.
