    Hi,
I believe Vista is not reading my battery levels correctly. For the first 30 minutes that my FE is on battery (customized balanced power plan), it uses up 95% of the battery according to Vista. However, then it sits on 5% remaining for about 45 minutes. At the end giving me a still sucky 1.25 hours. Its a year old battery. What bothers me is how it goes down so fast the first 30 minutes and then just sits on 5% for a "long" time. Anybody else with this issue?

Note: in order to use my laptop at 5% i had to change the critical battery level down to 1%, or else it would go into sleep/hibernation at my fake 5% level...

The Vista readings are terrible and normally jump around like that. Doesn't Sony make a small app you can run for battery info?

totono, I fixed a similiar problem in the past with my MSI notebook which gave me the same false 95% reading inspite running it on battery for some time.

To fix your problem, I suggest you use up your battery completely.

When I did this to my MSI it shut down very suddenly when the battery was depleted, though it still showed 95% prior to that shut down. (You may get a little surprise from such abruptness.)

After that, I gave the battery a full charge of 4hrs. Till now, the battery shows correct reading.
