This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    FE21S internal clicking sound

    I recently purchased a VGN-FE21S in the UK and find there is a clicking noise (like internal relay contacts closing) when left mouse clicking, usually heard when changing from one web page to another. Other (non Sony) laptops I have used do not do this. It is otherwise a nice quiet machine. Is this normal and any ideas what this could be?
