I was messing around with my VAIO Event Service software (trying to remove the 'S' key beep) and I accidentally removed it entirely. Now none of the special keys will work. My recovery discs are downstate in storage and I can't find the "notebook utilities" software anywhere on the web. Can someone PLEASE post this software for the FE690 as I can't control the volume of my laptop anymore!! :(

I think it's the same as this one for the 590. Not sure why they don't include it in the 690 download section...odd.

The notebook utilities for the 590 won't run on the 690. All I get is:

"This update is not intended for use with your computer model"

I contacted Sony and they're telling me to buy new recovery discs. I can't figure out why "Notebook Utilities" isn't posted for the FE690.
