I have had this for less than 4 months (bought second week of July) and the battery is now slipping out of the laptop randomly. I think the lock switch is not working, so one side is slipping out and disconnecting the battery. Its been happening for a couple of days now, and I wanted to know what I should do about it.
Should I call Sony and ask for a replacement battery? I have heard Sony is really bad with warranty things, is it worth asking them? Should I ask the reseller, Best Buy? Should I just tape the battery in place?
Any suggestions would be helpful, this is a very annoying problem...
    Thanks.

Call Sony. I imagine it'd be covered.. unless you dropped it or something.

In any case, it's a good idea to call Sony to see what kind of options they give you. Sony tech support (their phone support, anyway) has always been very responsive to me, very prompt, and very nice.
