    What is the difference between Sony FJ1S and FJ1Z notebooks as they booth have 14 inch screens P mobile processors . I am especially interested in battery performance and wt etc.. UK models

    The FJ1Z comes with 1GB RAM as standard. There are no other differences. I used to have a pdf file with the differences (I have deleted it now), and this was the ONLY difference mention in the document. (I was at one point interested in purchasing the laptop).

    As far as I can find, the Z version is only available through Dixons group (I haven't seen it available anywhere else).

    Thanks what do you think about it - how long does battery really last ? Can you open up image files as with digital pics from a compact flash card fast or is there a delay in doing this maybe due to integrated graphics. I'm thinking of getting one and any advice would be helpful

    Sorry for any confusion ARC, but I didn't buy the FJ. As good as the spec was, I felt it was overpriced for the spec (especially in the graphics card dept). Depending on what your budget is, the new FE11 range are better value for money. (Just my 2 pence).
