Here is a question for you FJ series owners.

I just now realized that the lids have no latches. So my question is:

Do the screens stay down pretty well? Or do they have a gap?

    Thanks, and Merry Christmas.

I used one for awhile, the hinges were very secure and strong enough to hold the lid down when closed even with no latch. I would have prefered a latch to be honest, but there was no issue with having a gap.

Thank you abaxter. Would you recommend getting a FJ? I would get an Thinkpad, but I want something more stylish, while still being pretty portable.

    Wilkie,

Sonystyle doesn't ship to Italy, but Sony in Europe definitely sells FJ. You can see at the below address and I have personally seen FJ in retail store in Italy.

OH, you want the blue one, sorry. It appears that Sonystyle here has sold out of those too. Good taste though, I like that one too. :)

I've been in doubt about whether I should sell my FJ or keep it. The reason for this is that I believed it was smallest than its currently is. I ain't telling you that this notebook is big, but coming from a R505 series, you can definitively feel it. So far the machine is good, slim, gorgeous screen and so on. I recently upgraded the memory (to 1GB). I am thinking about selling it and getting the S500 series, but I've heard not good stuff from it. Oh well, I believe the FJ would be a keeper for me until the BX finally sells out.
