this week, i bought FJ270/B . This is my 2nd vaio. First one was FS620 with 512 m memory.

When i watched dvd and surfing internet at the same time, dvd running was not smooth. had slightly lag time. audio would have blinked for a very very short second.

this laptop has 1 g ram, it should be more than enough to run dvd and surf internet at the same time.

any method how to tune it to get better performance.

for my 1st FS620, this lag is not so obviously. (this only had 512m ram.)

    please help. thank you.

Have you looked in task manager to see how much of your 1gb of ram is actually being used? Check to see how many processes you have running etc... You system might be under more of a load than you think.

I think that processor and GPU also play a role in DVD playback smoothness.
