So for the past few months my 1.5 year old Sony Vaio FJ290P has been making very loud buzzing noises from the left side of the drive. I did a lot of research and came up with it being something to do with the CPU fan. My computer can overheat, but it doesnt turn off. Earlier today I clocked it at 111F with speedfan. Right now while surfing, having itunes open and not active, aim open, its at 90. CPU Usage right now is 47%, but sometimes will go from 8 - 100 in a few minutes. I apparently have 62 processes open, but I have no idea what most of them are, and when I search for them, they all say they are Windows or part of programs I use. I have the performance gage up on my computer and it is always performing well.

But this buzzing does not go away. I went to Best Buy to get my computer cleaned out, the guy said there was a ton of dust. For a few days it was okay, didnt seem to be too loud, just normal. And now it is back to being loud, buzzing, almost worse than before. And I can feel the loud vibrations while Im typing. Its unbearable, and so worrisome.

I am uploading a video of the noise, for you to hear.

Best Buy told me it would be 60 dollars to just give me a guess/diagnosis. And he thinks it has something to do with heating and cooling so about 400 dollars to fix. I do not have time or money to do this. I am in school, and NEED my computer daily. But I do not want it to crash.

Any ideas of exactly what it is? And what needs to be replaced, fixed. I can get people to fix it for me, I just think Best Buy Geek Squad is too expensive and not worth it.

    I appreciate any input
