    hi im having problems with the hot keys " brightness keys"
    what do i have to do ?
    plz help me

    What do you mean what do you have to do?

    Pressing Fn+F5 or Fn+F6 will lower or brighten your screen. Is that what your asking?

    when i press Fn button + F5 & F6 nothing happens...
    i cant change the brightness/......

    Have you done a fresh windows installation ?
    If you have done so, you should start looking for Hotkey (Or I think ACPI drivers) in Sony's homepage.

    2.install vaio event service

    you are on vista or xp? did you do a clean install by yourself?

    i have installed vista & XP
    in vista everythins fine bt in XP i have this problem

    (The FN button always works, but when the drivers are not installed, windows won't use the shortcuts)

    when i press FN+ F5 or F6 the brightness bar appears bt it doesnt work.
    no change nothing happens :mad:

    hi....i hv install the s.o XP pro...but the FN KEYS not working... like brightness and others funcions... Can any one help me???

    I hav a SONY VAIO VGN- FE31H, i hav already search in te sony web site and ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/Vaio/HOTKEY/ but doesn't .... i need help....
