    Hello all,

    I have a new FS115E, about 10 days old.

I have noticed that the HDD can get noisy and makes scratching noises. Its starting to piss me off now as its all I can hear when browsing the web in mute. It sounds like a constant faint hum and whenever I place my wrist on the left side of the rest, it changes sound and can start to click.

I think this is Sonys fault, they should have known people put slight pressure on the palm rests so why place such a delicate component like the HDD directly underneath it?

I have noticed that others have FS models? Can those who do inform me of the sounds that the HDD in yours makes?

    Thanks,

    Jimmy.

PS. Its a Hitachi HDD, so are their models prone to creating such noises?
