My Sony GRV 616 -16.1 inch notebook has broken down on me twice already so it`s about time for a new laptop. I suspect the normal P4 2.6 was the bottleneck (gets just too hot).
So I have my doubts about buying another Sony now but this FS notebook looks really sweet (I`m a design-nut). Also think I`m gonna love that screen.. Anyways, my biggest issue with the FS series is the slow HD. So I was wondering if I can replace it with a 5400 or 7200 rpm drive easily. And what about your guarantee, will you lose it then?
Thx.

Here are some successful tries. Unfortunately, no pictures.

Upgrading HDD successfully does not void your warranty. If you screw something up in the process, you will have to pay for that screw-up. Other part of the laptop is still under warranty. -
Thx Sky.
Not sure which HD to go for but it`s good to know it`s possible and quite easy. One step closer buying it. ; )
