The space bar on my vaio has some issues. When I depress the spacebar on the left side the cursor doesn't move...unless I depress it about an inch from the left end. Does anyone else have this problem? I did the semiclean install when I got the computer a couple of months ago...but I doubt that is the cause. Not looking forward to sending it back to sony for repair work.

    Thanks

Maybe there's something wrong with it, or the connector isn't pushed in all the way.

Check the key to make sure it is set correctly. There are a number of DIY sites that talk about keyboard replacement/key fixing out there, or many local big box retailers have the ability to reseat the key so long as you still have all the parts and they have the tool. I do it all that times at Staples for customers and I don't charge a thing since it is usually a 5 minute repair with the right tools.
