    Hello.

    I'm a proud owner of a FW139E/H since last friday :)
It runs beatifully, but i observe a behaviour that could be a problem with the battery or something i dont' know.

Every time i plug the charger to the machine, it starts charging unti it reach 80%. After that, It doesn´t keep charging but neither loose charge. It stay at 80 (having it always plugged). I could never saw it at 100%.

While i can use the notebook without problems, this caught my atention. I set it at High Performance, could this be the reason?

    Thanx in advance.

Go to the Vaio Control Center and see if there is a Battery Care Function. I suspect this has been pre-set to the 80%. The theory is that this will reduce the overall battery wear.

John is right. It's the Battery Care function. I actually set mine to 50%, although I'm sure 80% is probably just as good.

It's a great feature. I'm surprised nobody has thought of that before. For those times when you don't plan on having your laptop off AC for awhile, it's a great way to keep your Li-Ion healthy.

What they are saying is, your battery does not really need to be pumped full of energy to 100% all the time if your not going to be computing on the battery in a consistent way.

Meaning, it needn't be super ultra charged up if your pattern of use is to use your laptop using the ac all the time.

Speaking of the battery care function app, did anyone ever get it to work on an FZ model? Specifically an FZ 190?
