I'm planning on buying a Sony Vaio laptop and was curious to know whether it would be able to run games such as crysis on high quality. (It would already be good enough if it could just run on medium quality)

    Here are the specs:
    CPU: Intel core 2 duo 2.66 GHz P 8900 (1066mhz, 3mb cache)
    Ram: 4 GB DDR2
    H.D.D: 500 GB
    Resolution: 16.4" WXGA (1600X900)
    O.D.D: DVD +/- RW DL
    GPU: ATI HD 4650 (1GB)
O.S: Genuine windows 7 home premium

And if you wouldn't mind, could you please explain to me what the 3mb cache means and how it can help my laptop's performance?

    Thanks for replying.

I had the FW Sony you're looking at. Can't say that I personally tried Crysis on it, but here's a Youtube video of another laptop with similiar specs (and same card) running the game:

My wife played Warcraft on all high settings native 1600 by 900 res...only setting turned down was shadows. I realize that's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison...but it perhaps will give you an idea.

Overall the video card is quite capable...hope this helps you a little bit.
