Seems like this forum has a lot of experienced PC users so i thought it would be better to post here rather than wait on hold to talk with a sony rep.

I have massive Viruses/Trojans on my Sony Vaio VGN FW139E. I do not have any of my OS/Driver disks and am in need of a reformat to get the computer back to the state the day I purchased it. I have tried MalewareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware and they dont work for me all that great.

All the files that I wanted to save are burned on a disk already (pics and music)

So by using Recovery Center, do I want to (1) Restore C-Drive. (2) Restore Complete Syetem. (3) Wipe and Erase Data, or (4) Create Recovery Disks (but cant I create Recovery Disks after I reformat?)

I read the topic on how to get rid of the Bloatware with a semi-clean install. In that topic though it talks about on startup hit F10....Why would I need to do that if I am reformting through the recovery and not the actual disks????

if I install it with all the bloatware and just use control panel/reg cleaner tp uninstal what i dont want - it will still be a pretty decent speedy computer right?

I dont use my PC for a whole lot. Homework, movies, multiplayer games ect....

Im just in need of some guidance through this...I really dont want to bring it to bestbuy and pay them $130 to reformat my PC.

If someone could briefly explain step by step instructions to reformat through the recovery that would be great.
