    FW21E or Any sony laptop resolution help!

    Hi guys

    I have a new shinny sony fw21e laptop with the ati 3470 hd card.
    the native resolution is 1600x900 which is great, however i make websites for a living and often want to show clients the site in a lower resoltion like 1280 wide. Sadly however this option does not appear in the choose res drop down or the force list in the catalist control panel.

    However! when i plug my laptop into a TV doing HDMI it does give me the option and it works great on the laptop!? So why will it not normally allow me to do it, and more importantly how can i force the laptop option to be there?

    is there a config file for the drivers, or screen or card or something that will allow me to manually put the desired resolution and hz support in?

    Thanks for any help, really really frustrated now.
