    Hello Everyone!

I have a Sony Vaio FW21Z European Version (Portugal), and I've just installed Windows 7 x64 Profissional on it! I followed all the instructions on the forum and its perfect!

Now I decided to create my first thread. I changed the hard drive to a Western Digital 320GB 7200rpm and now I was thinking on upgrading the RAM. Will it work with more than 4GB? Do I need to upgrade the BIOS?

Is there a way to control the amount of RAM the ATI mobility Radeon HD 3650 shares with the system?

    Thanks in advance

I would also like to know about this... I've just upgraded my FW21Z to Win7x64; Sony say that the " Mainboard [sic] only supports up to 4GB of RAM and they can not guarantee that it will work if you change the RAM"...

Anyone know any more about this, or have tried it themselves?? I can't say I notice any difference whatsoever in the performance between win7x32 (I was running win7x32 RC last week) and win7x64 RETAIL HOME PREMIUM that I am running now... theoretically I should be getting more RAM available... but it doesn't seem to making any noticable impact to the performance of my system...

Ideally I would like to go to 6 or 8GB DDR2 SDRAM... but not if it's going to muck anything up :(
