Are all FW4 notebooks shipped with Vista 64-bit?

In which country? I believe I saw some 32-bit packages on European models.

The easiest way to tell this is to go to the online support pages of a Sony Vaio model in the country of choice and see what is listed there for OS systems on the drivers pages -- those are the "approved" packages that were arranged for by Sony with Microsoft for models sold in that country.

    E.g., for the 490, only 64-bit in the U.S.: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNFW490

Remember: Notebookcheck's review of the FW41eh indicated it has 32-bit Vista: http://www.notebookjournal.de/tests/inspection/sony-vaio-vgn-fw41-e-h-933
