As all of you should know by now So. California has been plagued with horrendous wild fires. Sony's manufacturing and assembly plant for all VAIO computers is located in San Diego, CA and they have been forced to evacuate their facility this week because of the catastrophe. Most of their support staff lives near the plant in San Diego, CA and were forced to leave their homes too and a lot of them are not even available to call or email us currently. So for any of you ordering CTOs, you will need to allow at least a 1 week delay for your order because of this. Looks like the fire fighters and National Guard are finally getting a handle on the fires in San Diego, so they should be back in as normal next week.

Well, people will be absolutely understanding of these types of delays. We'd rather everyone be safe there than notebooks shipped on time.
-
You'd be surprised. I've already had a few customers of mine complain because they couldn't reach the support call center down there.
Here's to hoping everyone is okay and healthy. -
Hey guys,
I live in Fallbrook and am currently staying at my friends house in San Marcos.
The fire has engulfed my old street according to Google Maps, but we have heard that many of the houses have been saved, one of them being mine.
We will hopefully return home tomorrow, and my dad got an earlier flight to come back from work.
Thanks to the TS to inform everyone about Sony's situation, and being so compassionate. I hope many others are as lucky as me and have had their homes saved.
