Sony removed FZ4000 CTO from their site. But they still have CTO (Configured to Order) for TZ, SZ, CR and AR. Is there any chance that they will put it back? I am not so sure that I will like FZ replacement (FW series). I just don't like the spec, the dimension and the weight. And I have to configure the spec myself if I want to buy the FZ model.

Nope its gone. I talked to a service rep a few days back. I was set on buying the FZ series until the CTO was gone. Its all good though got a better deal. 1299 Below

You have a much better pre-configured FZ for a cheaper price now.

it didnt seem that cheap to me. with the cheapest cpu option on FZs the prices seemed more or less the lowest fz4000 configuration? or just a bit less...

srry man no more CTO's their just trying to sell off the last couple of FZs that they still have. Personally I think you'll like the FW, its a pretty good upgrade from the FZ

They have some FZ 4000's at the Sony Outlet with 2.5GHz processors pretty well equipped for 1499.00 and free shipping. these are not refurbs either.

Will Sony still sell these last FZs when the new models come out tomorrow? Since the FW will replace it, does the FZ move to the outlet or still have its own page? Will it get cheaper? What usually happens?

If you can't find the FZ in the main notebook page of sonystyle. I'm sure you'll be able to get them in the sony outlet. Just click there and you should be able to see whatever models they are selling there.
