Hi
I am on the verge of buying a VAIO FZ11S from play.com (£799.99) and was wondering what the best way of insuring it was.
I know that it comes with a one year manufacturers warranty. After that runs out what is the common approach? Ideally I'd like a three/four year deal which means I can send it in and they'll fix it as and when required. How would I go about finding such a policy? Indeed, is this likely to be necessary. My last laptop was an acer which broke every time I touched it, are Sony's better built/more reliable?
Any help much appreciated

Ive just ordered this from comet at £790 through quidco.com link saving another 4% making it a £758.40 purchase. Im sure that you can buy the 2+ Vaio warranty extension anytime within the first year if funds are tight at moment, its about £160, or domestic and general do 3yrs from purchase at £99, inc accidental damage. Depends if you want Sony to fix your Sony laptop or not!....(if it breaks)

Just checked on domestic and general website, its actually £209 for additional 2yrs, their prices have sure shot up since my £99 quote 2 mths ago!!! Sonys 2+ warranty is £179 and can be paid for anytime within the first 12mths.
