    FZ Wifi problems

    Hi

    I just got my new FZ21s today but im having trouble making the wifi connection go about 54mbps yet i have a sky router that says it goes well above that 108mbps ive tried diffrent modes in the admin of the router but with no luck anything else i could try?

    I think you would need a super-g(108Mb) compatible wireless adapter and I am not sure that the one included in your system is. You might want to try changing the channel on your router to see if that helps.
    Just because an adapter is 802.11n compatible doesn't mean it will work with super-g.

    My vaio is an fz21s support 802.11a/b/g/n my sky router does modes: b and G ... G only ...and auto 108mbps ive tried all 3 modes but still 54mbps any ideas?

    If I'm not mistaken, Wireless G mode is only capable up to 54 Mbps. It will only do 100 Mbps if you connect to the router via an ethernet cable. Draft N will connect higher at 130 Mbps. Any noticeable difference? Not if you're just surfing the net.

    To connect to a wireless access point or router using the Super G, XtremeG, Turbo Mode, Dynamic Link, Speed booster, or 108Mbps enhancements to the IEEE 802.11g standard, the access point must be configured to use the standard IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11g setting. Additional information pertaining to these specific settings is available from the third-party access point manufacturer. ( Reference Article C291939)
