I have had this laptop for 2 years now. Unfortunately I have misplaced the recovery discs - need as I need to reinstall Vista from scratch. Where / how can I get replacements or download please?

Contact Sony. The only LEGAL way (and hence the only way it can be discussed here) is to buy a replacement set.

Why do you need them? For the drivers and apps instaler on them or to do an actual system restoration?

My laptop has Vista Home on it but it has got corrupted. I cannot boot into it now and the only way out is through recovery discs - unless there is a way to get to the files on the C drive?
