    Hi All,

After a fresh install of XP to my FZ140 ... my wifi connection is getting much lower transfer hate than it was getting previously.

Is there any trick to fix that? Did anyone have the same problem?

    Thanks,
    Marcelo

Why didn't you post this in the FZ owners thread instead of opening a new thread?

I've heard of this problem before, but i don't know if there is a solution for it. Wifi just seems to be a little less powerful in XP then in Vista.

Do you have the correct/latest XP drivers for it? What about the firmware of the router itself?

Honestly, because I can't afford to look for information in 190 pages! I really don't understand what is the problem of having a very well composed subject, with a direct answer, that will allow people to find it easier later.

On the owners thread you need an entire day to look for the info you're looking for.

    My two pennies... =)

I have the latest drivers, but don't think the router firmware might be a problem. I had good performance prior to install XP and there are several other laptops making use of the same router with decent speed.

Use TCPOptimizer and choose the optimized preset. Click the backup option (File->Backup Current Settings) before you apply the settings though, otherwise you'll get an error message.

I actually have some questions regarding xp on the FZ. I am contemplating on putting XP on my FZ190. How is the performance after XP? Were did you find all of the drivers for FZ with XP? Are there any missing options such as power management, sound, bluetooth, functions keys?

    Thanks
