Sony Vaio FZ180E/B running Windows Vista Home Premium.

I connected my Laptop to my TV via HDMI, and the TV is connected to a receiver. TV = Sharp LC-32SB24U

5.1 works fine on the Xbox 360, and I'm using the same HDMI cable.

However, I tried to open up "Playback Devices" and click "Configure" it only shows stereo (2 speakers). However, there is 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer.

Not sure how to make 5.1 work.

I believe there were some problems with HDMI and Audio before.
You may want to search the forum and see if the earlier case (cases) are applicable to yours.
