    Hi to all,

I've installed the Win7 on my Fz18m, I have searched all the drivers and followed the Guide on the forum.

Everything works fine but the ethernet connection, it even doesn't appear on the Hardware manager.

I'm a little bit lost and would very pleased if anybody could help.

    Thnx in advance!!

Have you tried to tell Win7 to search for new hardware? Or you might also go into Device manager and tell it to show HIDDEN devices too. See if the Ethernet card shows up there. If it does not, it sounds like a HARDWARE issue not a software one. The drivers will not make the device show up in device manager, they will just make it function once it DOES show up.

Two attachments below. First one "Devices" shows the wireless and the ethernet port. (I have bluetooth turned off completely.) The second one "Hidden" is the same section bit with the Device Manager option "Show Hidden Devices" turned on.

Note: your hidden devices list may differ from mine as I have a few VPN clients installed that i use for other purposes, none of them are active at the moment though.

it seems that everything is ok. Where is the ethernet modul? I have checked the plug and the wires and all are fine, is it the same card as the power switch card?so, what should I buy?

Doubt if it was a dirty pin, unless there was some corrosion. But glad it now works!

    Hi again!

I've detected that the yukon desappears when I suspend ans reactivate the laptop, so I've to restart it so that the yukon ethernet appears again.

Any idea how to solve it?

    thanx!!

I think this may be an issue of the power managment stuff. You need to seek out the thread here on NBR regarding a clean install of Win7 on an FZ machine. My friend Rajesh put together an excellent tutorial on what you need and the ORDER you need to install. The sequence is VERY important.
