My FZ190 arrived yesterday. I immediately made the Recovery DVDs. I next tried to recover to them and get an error message and it fails with a folder copy message box.

    Any ideas?

How can Sony make such cool hardware and not even do the basic testing of making a backup and then loading it back?

You won't get a clean install with a recovery DVD. That is just a system restore - an image of your notebook the day you opened it the first time. You should also have a recovery partition in the event that your DVD fails.
