I see faint daigoal lines across my screen going from top right to bottom left. They're appx. 1mm apart and cover the whole screen. I can see it on light or white colored backgrounds. Any ideas how to get rid of them?

I tried rolling back the Nvidia driver and no difference. The lines look like the background on this site except they go the other direction. I looked at another fz at the store and couldnt see them. Any ideas?

I don't think ANYONE has reported a similar problem here. I think you need to contact Sony service. Sounds like a hardware issue.

I have faint lines on my display, except they go from the top left to bottom right just like the grey background on this web page. I only see them when directly viewing the screen, if I move to view the screen at an angle >15 degrees they disappear. Sounds like the same thing your seeing except they are going in the \\\ direction not ///. Makes my screen appear textured. My computer is a Fujitsu N6460.

    Hello

For that kind of what do i recommend check first BIOS if it the same problem in BIOS i guess that's a display problem and also check if LCd is shaking or loose. Contact the manufacturer of the computer so you'll be assisted in regard of sending it for repair.

Update on my diagonal line problem. I had a service tech. take a look at my screen, he ordered a replacement LCD. The replacement showed up in 3 days. But it was the not the right LCD, the backlight connector was diffrent. So the LCD was reordered. The next one showed up in a couple days and I just had it installed. When I picked up the laptop, the tech. pointed out that the new LCD still had diagonal lines and he thought it looked grainey. It's much better than the old one, I had to really look close to see what he was talking about. The screen looks great to me, problem fixed.

I ran into an engineer, I used to work with, he designs LCD displays for use in aircraft. I showed him my display, before I had the new one installed. He though the polarizing layer was mounted slightly off angle and the surface glass on the display was not ground flat.

If you have diagonal lines, take it to a service center and get it fixed. No need to have it drive you nuts after paying good money for the laptop.

I thought my new screen looked great, the diagonal lines where almost unnoticeable. But after getting it home and using it for a couple hours, the viewing angle is about +/-5 degrees. I have to constantly adjust the screen angle. The best viewing angle is with the screen tilted back about 10 degrees. That causes all the lights in the ceiling to bounce right in my eyes. So I've had the display replaced again, now I have lines again and no black. This LCD leaks light real bad. I've got another one on order, lucky I have a service center nearby and Fujitsu is happy to keep sending LCDs on warranty. I tried to get them to send one from a different lot, no luck. They would rather keep sending bad displays and pay a tech to install them. Hopefully the next display is good. I can't complain about there turn around time. They get the display in about 2 days and only 30mins to replace it. I just drop of the computer and get a coffee at the Star bucks across the street. Ah, I figured it out, there in co-hoots with Star bucks. It all makes sense to me now. By the way it's a Samsung LTN170WX-L06, should be a good display, must just be a bad lot.

Damn I get these on my FZ21S! More interestingly when I display certain colours I get horizontal lines too! I've added a thread which has a picture you can download to see if you get the same problem

I have exactly the same problem and it's very frustrating, should I be taking my laptop back for a refund? (I've only just brought it)

I have this problem on my FZ21s as well, but it is barely and rarely noticeable, and only on white backgrounds.
